Product Description

Studded Fur Trim – Black Metal Eyelet Lace with Gold Studs, 1.6 cm

This is a studded fur trim that mixes soft texture with metal shine.

The top is covered in short black-grey fur. It looks rich and soft, and the grey tones give it depth.

A single row of gold-tone metal studs runs along the centre, set at even gaps. The studs add a bold, edgy touch to the soft fur.

The back is a smooth black backing, so the trim has a neat, firm base for stitching.

At 1.6 cm wide, this fur strip for clothes is slim enough for collars and cuffs, and still stands out on jackets and coats.

Which outfits can you use it on?

This trim works on both western wear and Indian wear. Here is where it looks best.

Jackets and winter wear

  • Leather and faux leather jackets: on the collar, cuffs and front edges
  • Denim jackets: on the collar, pockets and cuffs
  • Bomber jackets: on the cuffs and the hem
  • Winter coats and overcoats: on the collar, lapels and sleeve ends
  • Blazers: on the lapels and pocket edges
  • Cardigans, sweaters and hoodies: on the front edges, cuffs and hood

Loved by boutique owners, fashion designers and DIY creators

  • Boutique owners use it to give winter suits and jackets a premium, festive finish.
  • Fashion designers use this studded black trim on coats, blazers and party wear.
  • Streetwear labels use it on denim jackets, bombers and caps.
  • Costume makers use it for bold collars, cuffs and belts.
  • DIY creators and fashion students use it to upgrade plain jackets, bags and boots.

Why it works

Soft and bold in one trim. Fur gives softness, and the gold studs add an edgy touch.

Black goes with every outfit. It suits black, grey, brown, navy, maroon and bright festive colours.

Gold studs add instant style. They make a plain jacket or kurti look finished and premium.

A firm back makes stitching easy. The smooth backing holds the trim flat while you sew.

Key Features

  • Studded fur trim in black-grey
  • Gold-tone metal studs in a single, evenly spaced row
  • Smooth black backing for neat stitching
  • 1.6 cm width for collars, cuffs, edges and hems
  • Works on jackets, coats, blazers, kurtis, dresses, boots and bags
  • Sold in 2 metre packs, with bigger lengths available

How to Use

  • Measure the edge you want to trim, and add 2 cm extra for the ends.
  • Cut between two studs, never through a stud.
  • Pin or clip the trim in place. Clips work better than pins on thick fabric.
  • Stitch along both long edges of the trim, by hand or by machine. Use a strong needle, and keep it away from the studs.
  • Push the fur away from the needle line as you sew, so the fur does not get caught in the stitches.
  • Fold the cut ends under and stitch them flat.
  • Do not iron the fur or the studs.
