Red & Black Beaded Lace Ribbon, 2.5 cm
A red and black beaded lace ribbon with two rows of beads in the centre, 2.5 cm wide.
The base is a firm, ribbed tape. It has black edges and two red bands. In the middle, a row of shiny black beads sits next to a row of small white beads. The black, red and white together make a sharp, bold contrast.
Unlike hanging bead lace, this is a flat beaded trim. It lies close to the fabric, so it works on necklines, sleeves and straps where a hanging fringe would get in the way.
On Indian wear it looks festive. On jackets and bags it looks sporty and modern.

How to Use

Measure the edge you want to cover and add 2 to 3 cm extra for the ends.

Cut the ribbon with sharp scissors, then knot or stitch the bead thread at both cut ends so the beads do not fall off.

Fold each end under and stitch it flat.

Pin the ribbon in place, keeping the bead rows straight.

Stitch along both black edges with black thread, by hand or by machine. Keep the needle away from the beads.
- Do not iron on the beads. Press the fabric from the wrong side.
