Product Description

A thin black and silver zari lace, just 1 cm wide.

The top is a row of small coiled rings, each one wound in black thread with fine silver stripes, so it looks like a tiny spiral. Below every ring hang two soft loops of silver cord, one inside the other. Together, the loops form a gentle scalloped line along the edge.

The black keeps it rich and the silver adds shine. Because it is only 1 cm wide, it is a delicate finishing lace: it outlines a sleeve, a neckline or a border without covering the fabric.

Where to use it

  • Blouses: on the sleeve hems, the back neck and the front neckline. A neat silver lace for blouse designs.
  • Sarees: along the border or the pallu edge
  • Dupattas and stoles: on all four edges
  • Kurtis and suits: on the neckline, the placket and the daman.
  • Black suits and lehengas: as a fine silver outline on panels and waistbands
  • Kids ethnic wear: on frocks, jackets and lehengas
  • Craft and décor: on gift boxes, pooja thalis, diaries and cards

Loved by boutique owners, fashion designers and DIY creators

  • Boutique owners use it on blouse sleeves and necklines to add a fine silver finish.
  • Ethnic wear designers use this thin silver zari lace to outline panels on black and dark suits and lehengas.
  • Saree and dupatta makers use it as a narrow border that goes well with heavier lace.
  • Kids wear brands use it on small garments, where a wide lace would look heavy.
  • DIY creators and fashion students use this fancy lace on gift packing, cards and craft projects.

Why it works

Thin lace for fine details. At 1 cm, it fits on sleeves, necklines and plackets where a wide lace would not.

Two textures in one. The coiled rings give a firm line, and the hanging loops add softness and movement.

Black and silver go with many colours. It suits black, grey, white, navy, maroon and pastel outfits.

It pairs well with other lace. Use it alongside a wider border to give a layered, designer finish.

How to Use ?

  1. Measure the edge you want to cover and add 2 to 3 cm extra for the ends.
  2. Cut the lace between two rings.
  3. Fold each end under, or seal it with a little clear fabric glue so the threads do not open.
  4. Pin the lace along the edge, with the silver loops facing outward.
  5. Stitch by hand through the coiled rings with black thread. Small stitches keep the loops free to hang.
  6. Press the fabric from the wrong side on low heat, with a cloth in between.
