Black Grommet Tape Metal Eyelet Lace, 2.8 cm
A black grommet tape with silver metal eyelets, 2.8 cm wide.
The tape has a fine ribbed weave and a neat stitched line running along its length. Above the line sits a single row of round metal eyelets, set at even gaps. Each eyelet has an open centre, so you can thread a cord, ribbon, shoelace or chain straight through.
This makes it a functional trim, not just a decorative one. Stitch two strips facing each other and lace them up, and you get a lace-up detail on a neckline, a corset back or a skirt side, with no need to punch holes in the fabric.

How to Use ?

Measure the opening you want to lace and cut two equal strips, adding 2 cm extra at each end.

Cut the tape between two eyelets, never through an eyelet.

Place one strip on each side of the opening, with the eyelets facing each other and lined up.

Stitch along the stitched line and the outer edge of each strip, by hand or by machine. Keep the needle away from the metal.

Fold the cut ends under and stitch them flat.
- Thread a cord, ribbon or lace through the eyelets in a criss-cross pattern and tie it at the end.
