Black Faux Leather Chain Lace, 2 cm
An all-black chain lace with faux leather, 2 cm wide.
The design has five layers, from top to bottom: a braided edge, a strip of gathered faux leather, a black metal chain, a second strip of gathered faux leather, and another braided edge.
The faux leather is softly gathered, so it has a crinkled, textured surface instead of a flat one. The metal chain runs straight through the middle and gives a clean, sharp line. Everything is in black, so the look is tone-on-tone: you see texture and shine, not colour.
This is a black lace for clothes that need an edge without loud colour. It suits western jackets and dresses as much as black Indo-western and festive wear.

How to Use
- Measure the edge you want to cover and add 2 to 3 cm extra for the ends.
- Cut the lace with sharp scissors and fold each end under, or seal it with a little clear fabric glue.
- Pin the lace in place through the braided edges only, not through the faux leather, so it does not leave pin marks.
- Stitch along both braided edges with black thread, by hand or by machine. Keep the needle away from the metal chain.
- For leather or faux leather garments, use a leather needle and a longer stitch.
- Do not iron on the faux leather. Press the fabric from the wrong side on low heat, with a cloth in between.
