Measure the edge you want to trim, and add 2 cm extra for the ends. 2. Cut the lace with sharp scissors. Cut the chain with small pliers if needed. 3. Pin the lace in place, keeping the chain line straight. 4. Stitch through the base of the lace with black thread, by hand or by machine. Keep the needle away from the chain. 5. Fold the cut ends under and stitch them flat. 6. Brush the lurex strands gently with your fingers to fluff them after stitching.
